What is Femto LASIK?

If you are looking for vision correction surgery but you are fearful of having bladed surgical instrument near your eye? If so, then Femto LASIK may be a solution you are looking for.

How is Femto LASIK different than Contoura Vision ?

In Femto LASIK – also called bladeless LASIK – eliminates the need for bladed surgical tool to create the corneal flap. Two types of lasers are used for the Femto laser correction procedure.

First, an ultra-fast femtosecond-laser is used to create a thin flap in your cornea and then, an excimer laser is used to reshape the underlying corneal tissue to correct your vision and the flap is returned to its original position.

Is Femto LASIK right for me?

Almost all our patients who qualify for Contoura Vision are qualified for Femto LASIK. You may be eligible for if your age is between 18 and 40 years.

Following factors may disqualify you if you are

• Pregnant
• Have severe heart related problems
• Disease such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, Vascular Sisease, Severe Glaucoma, Cataracts, Ocular Herpes Simplex, or severe Diabetes
