What is C-LASIK ?

C- LASIK is Custom LASIK. Standard or conventional LASIK uses your eye prescription alone as the guide to treating a your refractive error. Custom LASIK refers to computer-optimized LASIK and uses the “WaveFront” technology to measure your eyes from front to back and creates a three-dimensional (3-D) image or mapping of your eyes. The information contained in the WeveFront-Map guides the laser in customizing the treatment to your individual visual system.

Is it better than Standard LASIK?

C-LASIK procedure is tailored specifically to you. It has potential to lower or remove your lower-order aberrations (i.e. numbers) as well as higher-order aberrations (i.e. night vision, glare, shadows and halos) whereas Standard LASIK treats only lower-order aberrations.

Is C-LASIK a Bladeless Lasik?

C Lasik and Standard LASIK use a Blade for corneal flap.

Is C-LASIK painful?

You may experience temporary dry eye, discomfort and blur vision. Use prescribed medications to avoid eye infections and side effects.

Am I eligible for C-LASIK?

You may be eligible for C-LASIK if your age is between 18 and 40 years.

Following factors may disqualify you if you are

• Pregnant
• Have severe heart related problems
• Disease such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, Vascular Sisease, Severe Glaucoma, Cataracts, Ocular Herpes Simplex, or severe Diabetes

Also, C- LASIK uses advanced WeveFront technology and it requires very precise measurement with aberrometer. If aberrometer cannot make a very precise measurement of your eye, then you should not have C- LASIK.
